A Walk Back in time.............................

The Jordan Village Center Committee is very busy working on the final details for the Erie Canal Heritage Walking Tour....a self guided walk around Jordan. It will be a walk back in time that will be enjoyed by residents and visitors.

A color brochure complete with photos and a map will help you get from one historic site to the next and provide information about each site.

Members of the committee met with the National Park Service yesterday to go over many of the details about sites, signage and the brochure. A small grant from the National Park Service has been secured for the tour.

The tour will be dedicated July 12th at the Erie Canal Celebration & Village Wide Yard Sale - Jordan.

Along the Canalway Trail in Jordan

Is this photo priceless or what?

A wonderful resident of Jordan sent it in to be posted on the blog.

His message:
"I thought you might enjoy this photo, taken Tuesday along the canal trail east of the village. There was lots of wildlife around including turtles, frogs and many pollywogs. Oh, don't forget the sparrow sized mosquito's!"
Thank you for sharing it with us.

Now don't you want to take a walk along the canalway trail?

The hummingbirds are home.....

Our first hummingbird of the season was spotted the other day. Spring is in full bloom!

Have you driven or walked down Main Street in Jordan this week? The leaves on the trees are coming out, the Spring flowers are blooming. Wander along the Canalway Trail to view more signs of Spring. It is absolutely beautiful.

We are so lucky to have such natural beauty in our own backyards. Take a few minutes during your day or after work to stop and enjoy the beauty.
