Remembering the Jordan Fall Festival

The 61st Jordan Fall Festival broke numerous records. A few statistics are out already; around 35,000. donuts sold, 2100 bbq chicken halves, 507 entries in the car show, attendance 30,000. There will be more coming.

Being around for 61 years there must be some memories of the festival. Please share them here. Who knows maybe some old portion of the festival could be brought back nex year.

Old Festival photos would be lots of fun to share.

Just of the sake of comparison; the first Fall Festival was held entirely under a pole barn that was used for storing used cars at Charlie Taylor's Chevrolet dealership (now Tom Foote's garage). It was across the street from the current village hall. The pole barn measured about 80' x 20'

Isn't it funny how the festival really hasn't grown much in ground space it uses? I don't imagine the festival founding Fathers (and Mothers) ever thought it would grow to be the premier family event for families across Central and Northern New York that it has become.
