First I want to thank you for the "care" package. What a great collection of information about Jordan. It will take me a while to get through it all, but will undoubtedly answer a lot of my questions, and raise many more.

The long awaited slide show is great and much appreciated. If you look at the picture of the canal from the Veterans Memorial Park you will be looking at one of the best places in the whole state for picking up the biggest night crawlers in the whole wide world. There is not a carp, or any other fish for that matter, that can ignore a hook baited with one of these beauties. Check it out.

Re: Erie Canal Celebration update

John:

I know what you mean by there are fewer and fewer things that can be said that happened before my time. How do you feel about all of the changes that have taken place in Jordan in the last 60 years? For me there is a sense of time standing still and I think about it mostly as it was in the 40's and 50's. You on the other hand have been there throughout all of the years and have lived the changes. I would think that it at times makes you sad and then again proud to be part of the changes. From one of the "kids" to one of the elders in the same village.

I sure wish that I could make a trip back there and just spend some time wandering around with you and remembering. One of these days maybe.

Dave, you recently asked about Joe Case and I gave you information based on my memory....bad idea! I recently talked to his sister-in-law and got an update, she also said she would pass along word about this blog. Anyway, Joe went to Chiropractor school in Iowa not Indiana, and he and Lynne have been living in the Raleigh-Durham area since he got out of school.
